# Single Polkadot Vault Wallet

A single Polkadot Vault wallet is the standard type of account that most users will be familiar with. In this instance you use your Polkadot Vault device to control a single account that has no other derived addresses (known as a [Multishard Polkadot Vault Wallet](/wallet-management/polkadot-vault-wallet-legacy/multishard-polkadot-vault-wallet.md)).

This section will guide you through everything you need to know to create/import a single Polkadot Vault wallet and pair it with Nova Spektr!
